The Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE regulates the safety of machinery in the European Union. It applies to all types of machinery, including sets of machinery and “partly completed machinery”, as well as interchangeable equipment, safety components, lifting accessories, chains, ropes and belts, removable mechanical transmission devices.
The Directive sets the essential health and safety requirements to be met by machinery before placing it on the market, as defined in Annex I.
Ente Certificazione Macchine, through its conformity assessment activities, can give manufacturers, importers and users the guarantee to place safe and compliant machinery on the market and in operation.
