In recent days ECM welcomed to its headquarters in Valsamoggia (BO) a delegation from KTC (Korea Testing Certification institute), one of the most important government testing and certification agencies in South Korea. KTC is an official-recognized body authorized to issue KC (Korean Certification), essential for trading products in the Korean market. With many laboratories throughout the country, KTC has been assisting companies in the fields of machinery, electricity, electronics, renewable energy and medical devices for over fifty years.
“We are honored that such an authoritative organization flown up to Italy to meet us face-to-face,” explains ECM Sole Administrator Luca Bedonni, “we will strive to make this partnership happen, so as to consolidate our global prestige and expand our certification services as European Notified Body No. 1282 for medical devices and other product directives.”
Ente Certificazione Macchine, which has a longstanding presence in the East-Pacific region through consolidated business partnerships with ECM Shanghai and ECM Korea, aims to expand its core business even further. Through this future collaboration with KTC, indeed, manufacturers from all over the world will benefit of the services provided by two reputable partners to place their products on the European and South Korean markets.
Manufacturers who will carry out the testing activity with KTC will be able to undertake with our notified body the certification process to place their products on the EU market. On the other hand, tests performed by ECM will be recognized in applying for certification with KTC.
We set the next meeting date on 4 September 2023. A delegation led by Sung-il Ahn – ex-Deputy Minister for International Trade and Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, now President at KTC, will be visiting our headquarters to finalize negotiations and sign the memorandum of understanding that will kick off this new partnership. “We are confident that we will successfully complete this agreement and soon be able to provide joint certification and testing services to ensure product safety according to European and international standards” concludes Bedonni.
