The year that is coming to end has been very difficult in many ways. The pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus has had a serious impact on our lives and our economy. From companies to families, we have all had to deal with a completely new everyday life and to face complex and unfamiliar challenges.

Also Ente Certificazione Macchine is experiencing the difficulties of this historic moment, facing them with the commitment and dedication to work that has always distinguished us. On the one hand, we have reviewed our activities and daily working routine in order to make them as safe as possible for ECM staff, customers and suppliers. On the other hand, we have focused even more attention on the demands of the market, trying to provide services to meet specific needs.

But 2020 was also a year of big goals for ECM. Thanks to the excellent work of all the staff and the great efforts in terms of commitment and resources, ECM has expanded its services and expertise so much that it needed a new building! Last summer we proudly inaugurated a second, new facility, next to the Valsamoggia headquarters. The new building houses the entire Medical Devices Division, a rapidly expanding team that this year has shown great dedication during the most difficult period of the pandemic, working hard to certify medical devices needed to face the coronavirus emergency.

On the basis of its long experience in testing, ECM has also invested significant resources in the construction of a second Testing Laboratory, in addition to the existing one accredited 17025. A latest-generation anechoic chamber for electromagnetic compatibility testing has been installed in the new laboratory, ensuring high performance with considerable advantages for companies. But that’s not all, the new ECM Laboratory has been equipped with the most advanced equipment in order to expand and make the wide range of testing services even more efficient. ECM is thus acquiring greater relevance at global level, acting as a point of reference for safety, quality and performance tests on products, devices and machinery, in accordance with the major international standards and debugging activities to resolve any problems.

We are therefore very proud of the achievements we have reached this year and would like to thank all our staff for their hard daily work, which enables our company to continually grow and offer useful services to the market. We would also like to thank our clients and suppliers, for their support, because through cooperation and mutual support we can overcome any difficulties.

As usual, we are looking to the future and have already planned some great news that we look forward to sharing with you.
