As Notified Body no.1282 for the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU, ECM participates in the periodic meetings of coordination and discussion between the European Notified Bodies.

Ente Certificazione Macchine is Notified Body no.1282 authorized to carry out conformity assessments and issue product certifications according to ISO 17065, in relation to the requirements of Directive 2014/30/EU. In its role as Notified Body, ECM takes part in periodic coordination meetings involving institutions and notified bodies at international level.

On this occasion, Eng. Mirko Masotti of ECM attended the meeting of EUANB (European Union Association of Notified Bodies), which brings together European notified bodies and conformity assessment bodies for the EMC Directive, as well as representatives of the European Commission.

THE ROLE OF EUANB

EUANB’s objective is to contribute to the effective implementation of existing legislation by facilitating the sharing of conformity assessment practices in the regulatory arena.

Through a close collaboration with the major European standardization organizations – including CENELEC and ETSI, EUANB identifies general reference guidelines and practices to facilitate the understanding and application of the EMC Directive’s conformity assessment procedures.

THE COORDINATION MEETINGS

Participation in EUANB is an important occasion to discuss, together with other authoritative interlocutors, the latest regulatory developments in the field of electromagnetic compatibility and telecommunications. From these meetings also arise the Technical Guidance Notes (TGN), technical guidance documents useful to support the work of conformity assessment of Notified Bodies and constitute the state of the art on specific technical/regulatory issues.
