With the aim of providing companies with cutting-edge services in line with market needs, ECM obtains another important qualification in the field of automotive testing. The Authority for Homologation of the Republic of San Marino, to issue Approvals according to the UN ECE Regulations, has in fact recognized that Ente Certificazione Macchine is appropriate to perform EMC tests for vehicles, systems, components and technical units for vehicles, according to the ECE-R10 standard.
Thanks to this important recognition, ECM becomes one of the few companies in Italy authorised to carry out the testing activities necessary for the issue of ECE-R10 homologation.
The Regulation ECE-R10, relating to the automotive sector, defines the EMC requirements that components and vehicles must meet in order to be homologated and, consequently, placed on the European and international market.
ECE-R10 homologation therefore requires tests and trials to be carried out to verify compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements for electrical and electronic components installed in motor vehicles.
Thanks to the recognition of its expertise, the Testing Laboratory of Ente Certificazione Macchine is authorised by the Authority for Homologation of the Republic of San Marino to perform all testing activities required to obtain ECE-R10 homologation.
With a staff of highly specialised technicians and state-of-the-art equipment – including a latest-generation semi-anechoic chamber – Ente Certificazione Macchine is able to perform EMC tests on vehicles, systems, components and technical units for vehicles, with issue of the relative Test Report, required to obtain ECE-R10 homologation.
