The confiscation of masks and other devices or equipment due to irregularities in products or documentation continues.
We would like to thank the law enforcement and vigilance authorities for detecting another fraud against Ente Certificazione Macchine and the market. As reported in the article published by the newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore on 12 February 2021, which can be viewed here, we report the confiscation of FFP2 masks that do not meet the requirements of the regulations.
We are aware of numerous cases in which forged or improperly used documents attributable to our company have been used to place masks or other personal protective equipment on the market.
We are constantly cooperating with the relevant authorities in order to detect and contrast any misuse and fraudulent use of our documentation and our Notified Body no.1282. We therefore invite anyone who encounters these documents, in case of doubt or need for clarification, to use our certificate verification service in one of the following ways:
As already highlighted in the official communications published on our website, in particular:
The “Certificate of Compliance” document, referred to in the Sole 24 Ore article mentioned above, is NOT a CE certificate (as can be seen from its title and content) and therefore cannot be used to place products on the market within the European Community.
We would like to remind that the improper use of our Notified Body no. 1282 and of official documents issued by ECM is incorrect and fraudulent, an action that can be prosecuted under the law and that we will promptly report to the competent authorities.
