The People’s Republic of China has decided to donate 2,000 masks to Ente Certificazione Macchine, Notified Body located in Castello di Serravalle (BO). As soon as they are ready, ECM will make them available for free to the public assistance of Castello di Serravalle and the Bazzano Hospital.
The masks will arrive in Italy to ECM through CQC – the largest government certification body in China, as recognition for the effective collaboration and the prestigious relationship that has been going on for years between the two organizations. In order to guarantee the safety of the products, ECM will carry out the conformity verification necessary for the certification and the placing on the European market. CQC will send a number equal to 2 thousand masks, that ECM will donate to the Valsamoggia community to face the coronavirus emergency.
For a greater international cooperation in the health sector, the Chinese government is promoting a new economic policy that, through a constant supply of medical devices, aims to support Europe (in particular Italy) in contrasting the spread of COVID-19 desease. In this perspective, China is aiming to reconvert more than 2,500 factories, with the production goal of 18 million masks per day, many of which will be allocated to the Italian market.
Also Ente Certificazione Macchine, directly involved in the testing and certification of medical devices, wants to contribute in supporting the national public health by providing its resources and expertise to deal with the current emergency. With everyone’s help, we can overcome any difficulty.
