The <strong>requirements for UKCA marking<\/strong> are similar to those for CE marking and define the technical characteristics of the product, the conformity assessment procedures and the applicable standards. Product areas requiring UKCA marking include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Toy safety<\/li><li>Recreational craft and personal watercraft<\/li><li>Simple pressure vessels<\/li><li><strong>Electromagnetic compatibility<\/strong><\/li><li>Non-automatic weighing instruments<\/li><li>Measuring instruments<\/li><li><strong>Lifts<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>ATEX<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Radio equipment<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Pressure equipment<\/strong><\/li><li>Personal protective equipment (PPE)<\/li><li>Gas appliances<\/li><li><strong>Machinery<\/strong><\/li><li>Equipment for use outdoors<\/li><li>Ecodesign<\/li><li>Aerosols<\/li><li><strong>Low voltage electrical equipment<\/strong><\/li><li>Restriction of hazardous substances<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>For the following products for which UKCA marking is required, some special rules apply:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>medical devices<\/strong><\/li><li>rail interoperability<\/li><li>construction products<\/li><li>civil explosives.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#085f9b\"><strong>Timelines<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The UKCA marking came into force on 1 January 2021. However, a <strong>transition period <\/strong>is planned until <strong>31 December 2022<\/strong> to allow companies to comply with the new UKCA marking requirements.<\/p>\n\n<p>Companies will be able to continue to use the CE marking to place products on the UK market until 31 December 2022. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>From 1 January 2023, only goods bearing the UKCA mark will be accepted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#085f9b\"><strong>ECM Services<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Ente Certificazione Macchine has developed a range of services for companies wishing to export their products to the UK and therefore need to comply with UKCA marking requirements.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color\" style=\"color: #085f9b;\">Third party UKCA Compliance Verification<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>Ente Certificazione Macchine carries out\u00a0<strong>third party UKCA compliance verification<\/strong>, in order to assess that the requirements of the UK regulations are met.
