With the aim to ensure availability of PPE and medical devices for adequate protection in the COVID-19 outbreak, the\u00a0European Commission<\/strong>\u00a0invites all economic operators throughout the supply chain, as well as notified bodies and market surveillance authorities, to take all possible measures to make ppe and medical devices available to the market as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

In this regard, any member State may authorise\u00a0derogations\u00a0<\/strong>from conformity assessment procedures for such devices.<\/p>\n

However, all relevant stakeholders should ensure that any PPE or medical devices, which is being placed on the EU market, continues to provide an adequate level of protection of the users\u2019\u00a0health and safety<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
