Next June, Ente Certificazione Macchine will participate at two important institutional events with the main European regulators and Notified Bodies to discuss issues and news about machinery and lifts.<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

As Notified Body no.1282<\/span><\/strong>, ECM\u00a0takes part in the periodic meetings of debate and updating organised at international level by the institutions.<\/p>\n\n

On 8-9 June 2021 our Technical Manager Ing. Matteo Ianelli<\/em> will meet the representatives of the other European Notified Bodies for the Lift<\/strong> Directive 2014\/33\/EU <\/strong>at the 47th NB-Lift Meeting<\/strong>. On 11th June it will be the turn of the 52nd Machinery NB Meeting<\/strong> for the Machinery Directive 2006\/42\/EC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

FROM DIRECTIVE 2006\/42\/EC TO THE NEW MACHINERY REGULATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

As previously announced, the Machinery Directive 2006\/42\/EC is preparing to become a Regulation. On 21 April 2021, the European Commission<\/em> published the text of the proposal for a new Machinery Regulation <\/strong>(Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on machinery products<\/a>) which, after passing the approval process, will replace the current Directive 2006\/42\/EC.<\/p>\n\n

This is an important step<\/strong> from a legislative point of view: while directives have to be implemented by single States, regulations are directly applicable by all Member States. As a result, delays and ambiguous interpretations due to national implementation will be avoided. The new Machinery Regulation will also introduce important novelties<\/strong> with regard to digital innovations and new technologies.<\/p>\n\n
