This also brings with it real security and safety risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-839393fbb49691456ddbbc0efd329ffc\" style=\"color:#085f9b\"><strong>1 SEPTEMBER 2025 \u2013 MODENA: ELECTRIC BIKE BATTERY EXPLOSION LEAVES ELDERLY MAN INJURED<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Panic in Via Canalino, in Modena&#8217;s historic center, following the sudden explosion of an e-bike battery.<\/strong> The incident occurred around 11:30 AM: an elderly man riding the bike heard an explosion coming from the rear of the vehicle. The flames scorched his shirt, but the man managed to jump off just in time, suffering only minor burns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The intervention of the manager of the nearby <strong>Bar Tiffany<\/strong> was decisive; he used a fire extinguisher to subdue the flames before the <strong>Fire Brigade<\/strong> arrived. <strong>Local Police<\/strong> and an ambulance also attended the scene. The man, who was in a state of shock, was treated on-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3519bc2c9ab15b56aa13fd02c2c74153\" style=\"color:#085f9b\"><strong>UNDERSTANGIN LITHIUM-ION BATTERY TECHNOLOGY<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A lithium battery is made up of <strong>electrochemical cells<\/strong> that store energy through reactions between a cathode, an anode, and an electrolyte. This process is highly efficient and provides high energy density, but this very characteristic can also become a hazard.
