We had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of three key South Korean players, recognized leaders in the field of medical innovation. The purpose of the meeting, which took place at our headquarters, was to focus on building a solid and strategic partnership.
The agenda opened with an in-depth presentation of ECM (Ente Certificazione Macchine) and the services we offer to enable medical device manufacturers to obtain CE marking. The main objective was to highlight our competitive differentiation within the landscape of Notified Bodies (NBs).

The meeting was characterized by a lively discussion. The South Korean delegation showed exceptional interest, asking numerous specific questions both on the current regulatory landscape—with particular reference to the challenges and opportunities associated with the MDR (Medical Device Regulation)—and on our operating methods.

At the end of the theoretical meeting, we offered an immersive tour of our facilities. The delegation visited our state-of-the-art testing laboratory, a crucial opportunity to demonstrate our ability to perform complex tests in real life. The highlight of the visit was the experience in our semi-anechoic chamber, where we perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, a type of test that is in high demand for modern medical devices.
This meeting marks the beginning of an exciting journey that aims to combine South Korean innovation with European certification expertise. The agreement currently being finalized promises to open new avenues for South Korean companies in Europe and strengthen ECM’s position as a strategic partner.
