Forklift Stability Test: ECM verifies Compliance

4 September 2026

ECM ensures forklift compliance by executing specific stability tests in line with international standards UNI ISO 22915-1:2020 and UNI ISO 22915-2:2020.

ECM features an in-house laboratory highly specialized in product and machinery compliance testing. We offer stability testing for industrial trucks in accordance with the UNI ISO 22915-X series of standards (depending on the equipment type). These tests are essential to ensure the safety and reliability of forklifts in the workplace, actively preventing the risk of accidents.

During a recent session, our Certified Testing Laboratory performed a rigorous series of stability tests on a counterbalanced forklift truck. Upon the customer’s specific request, the tests were conducted in strict compliance with the UNI ISO 22915-1:2020 and UNI ISO 22915-2:2020 standards, which define the requirements and methods for verifying the stability of these vehicles. The objective was to ensure that the forklift maintains stability under critical operating conditions, drastically reducing the risk of tip-over.

The tests were conducted using a tilting platform, in line with the criteria defined by the standards:

  • UNI ISO 22915-1:2020: Specifies basic test criteria and requirements for industrial truck stability.

  • UNI ISO 22915-2:2020: Specifies stability tests for counterbalanced trucks equipped with masts and load-handling attachments.

The platform simulation included various tilt angles and maximum loads, meticulously verifying the vehicle’s stability.

Following the series of rigorous tests, the forklift successfully passed the stability verifications required by the standards. Our Laboratory consequently issued the corresponding Test Report, certifying full compliance. Passing these tests is essential: it now allows the client company to market and put into operation a safe, compliant, and reliable vehicle.
