With reference to personal protective equipment, we want to underline again that we are NOT a Notified Body for PPE and therefore we cannot and do not issue any CE certification for this directive. Any document issued by ECM in relation to PPE does NOT constitute an EC product certificate and can in no way replace the EC certification of the manufacturer or importer, who are the only holders responsible of the EC certification.

The use of our Notified Body number ECM 1282 in relation to the CE marking of personal protective equipment is incorrect and fraudulent, an activity that can be prosecuted under the law and which we will promptly report to the competent authorities.
