At the regional level, between January and May, there was a 7.5% jump in workplace injury reports, which rose to 33,837, accompanied by as many as 28 fatal cases. The situation in Modena is equally critical: in the month of May alone, injuries grew by 4.5%. The phenomenon across the board impacts key sectors of the local economy: in agriculture, cases rose from 162 to 184, while the industry and services sector accounts for a staggering 4,655. Particularly alarming is the increase among young workers in the 15-to-40 age bracket.
