With three internal laboratories and two external areas ECM becomes a point of reference for testing activities in different fields of competence.

Market interest in our testing services is growing. We receive numerous requests from the industry for different types of tests on a variety of products and equipment.

Our laboratory activities have expanded considerably over the years to offer an increasingly wide and comprehensive range of testing servies. Here below we would like to give an overview of our laboratories and the testing activities that are carried out there.

ECM has three internal laboratories and two external areas for open-field testing.

LABORATORY no. 1 – ELECTRICAL SAFETY

This Laboratory is the first to be equipped and set up. It performs a wide range of tests, including electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, IP grade testing, noise, vibration and many others. It can boast long and consolidated experience at international level in testing activities on devices, products and equipment.

LABORATORY no. 2 – ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY and DEBUG

This second laboratory, located in the ECM Medical Devices Division headquarters, is provided with the most advanced equipment for performing electromagnetic compatibility tests and debugging activities on several types of products and machinery. It includes a latest-generation anechoic chamber, interconnected and integrated with workflows according to the 4.0 model, able to ensure considerable advantages for companies in terms of precision of results and timing. Thanks to an innovative and exclusive software, customers will be able to remotely follow the testing activities and see the outputs in real time.

LABORATORY no. 3 – LITHIUM BATTERY TESTING and MECHANICAL TESTS

The third ECM Laboratory, inaugurated in 2021, is mainly dedicated to lithium battery testing, an activity that is increasingly requested and requires specific equipment and skills to be carried out. This new space, equipped with cutting-edge equipment, also performs various types of mechanical tests on different products and equipment.

OUTDOOR AREAS

ECM has two outdoor testing areas:

• In the first area, various types of open-field tests are carried out: stability tests, vibration, noise emissions, electromagnetic compatibility, etc.
• The second area is dedicated to perform impact tests, also using a compressed air cannon, and other types of resistance tests.

ECM has also set up a series of partnerships with numerous laboratories qualified by us, both in Italy and abroad. The aim is to satisfy an increasingly wide range of requests, including specific ones, by providing a highly professional and skilled service in line with ECM standards.
