ECM and KTC strengthen their collaboration in the medical devices sector to ensure the highest international standards in testing and conformity verification activities.

At the Ente Certificazione Macchine headquarters in Valsamoggia, we recently hosted our colleagues from ECM Korea and a delegation from our prestigious partner KTC – Korea Testing Certification Institute, from South Korea. On this special occasion, we focused on technical training regarding the Medical Device Regulation (MDR), accompanied by strategic discussions to enhance our collaboration.

A DAY OF TRAINING AND DISCUSSION

After a warm welcome to the delegation from ECM Korea and our partner KTC, the morning was dedicated to a detailed training on the EU certification process and ECM’s Quality Management System, led by our Medical Devices Division experts, Giacomo Golfieri – Quality Assurance Manager, and Vanessa Biavati – Technical Manager.

We then dedicated the afternoon to discussions on business cooperation and the medical devices fair, that will be held in South Korea in 2025. The day concluded with a Q&A session on the MDR, providing further clarifications and regulatory insights.

A PARTNERSHIP THAT CONTINUES OVER TIME

This event is just the latest in a series of meetings held between Italy and South Korea following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between ECM and KTC in September 2023.
